The Project Cover

From New York Time’s bestselling author of the Neighbor from Hell series comes a heartwarming romantic comedy about the only thing that matters when you’re about to lose everything that you’ve ever wanted.

The one person that you can’t live without.

She should probably mention that she had no idea what she was doing, but since that would probably result in her new boss, Devyn MacGregor, CEO of Carta Hotels and the incredibly handsome man that didn’t look like he knew how to smile, firing her, Andi Dawson decided that it would be in her best interest to keep that fact to herself. After years of doing a job that had slowly destroyed her will to live, she needed a change, something different, something that gave her a clue about what she was supposed to do with her life, but more importantly, she needed to figure out how she was supposed to keep a secret that could destroy the only thing that mattered to her.

Just. One. More. Time.

Devyn was so close to having everything that he’d ever wanted when everything suddenly went to hell. He should have seen this coming, should have stayed focused, and he really should stop thinking about the small woman that he should probably fire. He had four months to fix this and he had no idea how he was going to do it, but he knew that he was about to make the biggest mistake of his life.

Reviews for The Project

Very enjoyable! Fast talking, smart characters and an office romance to top off all that goodness! The story kept me entertained as I giggled and laughed at these two. I am impressed at how smart Andi is and what she can do and how this also shows the troubles this has brought her.
There is one thing in here that made my heart just go pitter patter and I could not help but put my hand over my mouth saying AWE! On the other hand..ALL the BACON eating drove me crazy!! It made me want to eat it!!!
I did listen to this on audio. Janelle Tedesco is the narrator. She is new to me and I feel she did an awesome job. Her tones and voices were well done and I would live to listen to her again.

I enjoy this author’s characters and stories. This one had me hanging on to every page trying to figure out who was the culprit in embezzling from this company. Andi applies for a position in this corporate hotel chain and to her surprise becomes the personal assistant to the CEO, Devyn. I loved the banter between these two throughout the story. Working together, a bind is formed and a line is crossed that neither was expecting while trying to figure out who’s behind the mess the company has.
An enjoyable story to get lost in.

What a beautiful story !!! I am in love with Devyn and Andi ‘s story. She is an amazing heroine all sweetness, smartness and brain. Devyn, Omg, what a great man. He felt so real through the pages. The chemistry between them, the love, the sensuality, the romance and the plot, all together, make a book worth reading and keep to re-read in the near future. Just beautiful!!!

–Love to read.

OMG I devoured this book. Plan for a smart, funny, and sexy read. This author is one of my favs and she stays true to her writing style with this unique tale. I love Andi and Devyn. The sarcastic, dry whit throughout this book has me shaking my head and snort laughing (don’t judge me, it couldn’t be helped).
This story has intrigue and a “who dun it” element that had me reading faster. Office romance storylines usually aren’t my cup of tea and I often give them a pass. Thank goodness I didn’t hear. Truthfully I should apologize though because using that description limits this book. It is so much more. Ugh it is worthy of more than five stars in my opinion.
Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO

Her writing is like being addicted to cat nip, once it’s there you can’t stop!
Every book she puts out just sucks you in!
I couldn’t put it down and would give the evil eye if the hubby even whispered my name begging for substance! He’s a grown man, he can figure out how to make food and leave me to enjoy my me time!
R. L. Mathewson’s will suck your heart and soul into her wonderfully funny, romantic, terrifying, and beautiful stories!
I absolutely love all her books and look forward to reading her next release!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I think I have a new favorite author. It’s not often that I finish a book and can’t think of one single thing that needed to be done differently. I highly recommend this one.

If your a R. L. Mathewson fan you’re going to love this book, and if you haven’t yet read her work you need to start now. Once again her story invokes smiles and laughter while keeping a good pace with a storyline that keeps the readers interest through to the very end. The author definitely found her purpose when she began turning her imagination into stories readers can get lost in.

I always look forward to a R.L Mathewson book and this one has ONCE AGAIN: Delivered.
Hilarious dialogue, Eeyore addictions, and relatable characters are just a few things to look forward to. Saucy romance, Good triumphing over evil, and wholesome feelings are the rest of it.
Devyn and Andi’s story was a pure delight.

The Project is another great read for her fans. Andi and Devyn are so sweet together. Every time I read a new one of her books, I want to go back and re-read them all. They’re like potato chips you can’t have just one!

Well, this one was such a cute, fun read. I fell in love with Andi during her interview and stayed in love with her throughout her time with Devyn. And Devyn *sigh* he had a soft spot for the cute, not-qualified-for-the-job assistant who proves to be worth far more than the breakfast bacon sandwiches she couldn’t live without.
As the story progressed, Andi reminded me of my youngest son – her intense focus to the extreme, where she could lose track of time, and her gift with numbers. And Devyn, with his past and his mistake of trusting the wrong person, just made me want to hug him. Their love grew at a realistic pace. It wasn’t instant – the attraction was. And their chemistry was a simmer that intensified into a fiery smolder. I laughed at their banter. And at Andi’s ability to show up at the perfect time.
I wish I had more story for them after that HEA. Fab writing! Entertaining, witty, sweet, and a definite one-click story.
