Special Request from Tall, Dark & Furious

An excerpt from Tall, Dark & Furious.

“Oh, crap! Oh, crap! Oh, crap!” Sam muttered somewhat hysterically as she fumbled for the flashlight that had sent her flying a minute ago when she’d decided with the help of the horrifying roar and the little bastard that had taken it upon himself to stop her from leaving, that hiding in the basement was her best option.

Granted, at this point it was probably her only option since Charlie, the traitorous little bastard, wouldn’t let her leave the house. When she’d grabbed her keys and headed for her truck, the little bastard had snapped at her, making her drop her keys and when she went to pick them up he’d grabbed them and ran back upstairs to his new master.

See if she shared her pizza with the little bastard again, she thought with a murderous glare aimed at the dimly lit basement as she grabbed the flashlight that one of the men had dropped during the incident that she was doing her best not to think about since it would probably have her passing out again. Licking her lips, she shoved her phone in her back pocket and turned the flashlight on as she stood up and looked for a place to hide where the incredibly angry man periodically releasing blood-curdling roars wouldn’t be able to find her.

So, she was a smart ass, he thought as he waited for her to stop staring down at the cheap planner on her lap. As Conner watched her, he couldn’t help but wonder if that planner was her pride and joy. When she lovingly caressed the imitation leather with her fingertips he realized that this was the saddest fucking thing that he’d ever seen in his life.

“Do you need a moment or can we get back to work?” he asked when it looked like she was going to break out a sniffle and reminisce about better days.

A look at The Promise: An NFH Novel

An Excerpt from "The Promise"

“I guess it all started when I found out that Santa Claus isn’t real,” the little pain in the ass that was trying to get out of detention said from her usual spot.

“That must have been very traumatic for you,” Reed said absently as he finished reading through the rest of the emails, deleting the ones from parents demanding to know why he’d fired Miss Dawson, others calling him a fucking moron for not firing her sooner, and a few writing just to let him know that he was an asshole.

“It was,” Jen said with a sniffle, “It really was.”

“Aidan?”

“Hmm?” he murmured as he scrolled through his emails, forwarded some to his secretary, deleted some, flagged others all while debating running out to get some fresh prunes to add as a side to Melanie’s lunch and grabbing a burger and shake for himself.

Christ, he could go for a burger.

And fries.

Maybe some onion rings.

“Aidan?”

“Yeah?” he asked, double-checking his schedule to make sure that there weren’t any last-minute patients added to his day.

Cause I’ve been bad…

From Irresistible: A Neighbor from Hell Novel

Don’t look!

For the love of everything that was holy don’t open your eyes! she inwardly screamed at herself, praying that the crazed man cursing to himself as he continued to rummage through the room didn’t realize that she was awake.

Hoping that he was too busy to notice, she slowly turned over onto her side, absently noting that although the bed was smaller than she was used to, it was surprisingly comfortable.

Then again, should she really expect anything else from a doctor?

Delectable is Almost Here

“Mom?” Mikey said loudly when it should have been more than obvious that this was a conversation that required whispering.

“Is he still here?” Kasey whispered through the keyhole, telling herself that it was perfectly normal for a grown woman to hide in her bedroom for two hours in order to avoid the man that had called her delectable.

“Who? Reese?” Mikey asked loudly, making Kasey wonder where she’d gone wrong.

“Yes! Reese!” she whispered harshly, shifting to get more comfortable, but after two hours of kneeling on the thin rug she was running out of positions.

“He’s in the kitchen fixing the sink,” she said, sounding like she had a mouthful of food.

“What are you eating?” she asked, shifting back into a sitting position and leaned back against the door.

“A burger. Reese made me lunch.”

“He made you lunch?” she asked, genuinely surprised.

“Yeah, he asked me to ask you if you wanted one,” Mikey explained, making Kasey frown.

“But, you didn’t ask me,” she pointed out, not that she wanted one, she did, but still…

First Look at Unstoppable: Kale’s Book

“You like that?” he asked in a husky voice. “Then you’ll love this.”

He ran the tip of his tongue around the little nub, careful not to touch it. Haley squirmed beneath his hands, trying to find relief. He slid two fingers inside of her, but switched to one when he realized how tight she was. He was glad that he wasn’t the only one who hadn’t had sex in a while. He wanted her desperate for him.

Finally, he ran his tongue over her sensitive little nub, earning a moan so he did it again and again while slowly sliding his finger in and out of her. He had to close his eyes. He was so close to coming and she hadn’t even touched him yet. He prayed that he wouldn’t embarrass himself tonight since he planned on being inside of her for most of the night.

Her sheath tightened around his finger like a vice. He sucked her clit between his lips while flicking his tongue teasingly over the little bundle of nerves.

“Jason....Jason....,” she moaned his name softly for several minutes as he licked her out. “Jason!” she finally screamed his name as her body throbbed hard around his finger.

“Who writes this garbage?” Ashley asked, shaking her head with disgust as she turned the well-worn book over in her hands over and looked for the name of the author.

R.L. Mathewson.

Another Delectable Excerpt Cause I Got Distracted

From Delectable: A Neighbor from Hell

“Good morning, Yummy,” she said, absently looking over her shoulder at something in the kitchen before returning her gaze to him. “Sleeping in today, are we?”

“What time is it?” he asked with a frown as he glanced at the windows and noted that the sun was barely up.

“A little after six,” the crazed woman that had broken into the house said with a bored sigh as she pushed away from the couch.

“What the hell are you doing here?” he asked, rubbing his hands down his face as he wondered if this was a dream or-

Melanie,” he said tightly as he stood there, glaring at the apartment door that belonged to the woman that he’d prayed he would never see again.

“I’m not here right now, but if you would like to leave your name and number I’ll get back to you later,” the smart ass hiding behind the door managed to say before adding, “beep,” further convincing him that she was out of her fucking mind.

Open. The. Door,” he bit out, enunciating every syllable as he struggled to remember that he was a doctor and that he’d taken an oath not to strangle the infuriating woman that was fucking with his life.

There was a slight pause before she said, “Yeah, I really don’t think that would be in my best interest at the moment. So, if you’d like to come back later after you’ve had some time to calm down then-oh, crap,” she finished with a groan when he decided to stop playing games and decided to press his luck and see if the door was unlocked.
