And So It Begins…Part XIV and A Sneak Peek at Unstoppable

“What’s the plan?” Uncle Jared asked as they stood there, taking in the trio sitting on the other side of the restaurant, watching their every move.

To be honest, Trevor wasn’t really that worried about Abbi, not when he knew just how easily he could distract her with a promise to bring her to look at puppies, but he knew that if her brother was able to get to her first that they were all screwed. It didn’t help that his son was involved in this.

Dustin was bad enough, but Sebastian?

No, this wouldn’t end well for anyone, Trevor thought as he slowly took in the trio across from him, noting the bored look on Abbi’s face, the devious smile on Dustin’s, and-

Where the hell did Sebastian go?

What Would You Like To Know?

So, with the December release quickly approaching, I am doing my best to get ahead on this book. With that being said, I need to focus on Misunderstood this week with the promise of a Chronicle next week.

If there is a Chronicle that you would like to see, please let me know.

Other than that...

I figured we'd take this opportunity to answer any questions that you might have :)

The Promise Excerpt

Please don't beat me!

I'm sorry. The Chronicle is going to be late again. I have it halfway done, but I am sitting here burning up, dealing with a headache and praying the kids will be kind and knock me out. I haven't been feeling good all weekend and should have started to write this one sooner. I keep screwing this up and will try to do better. The second part of School Shopping is started, but there isn't enough to post.

So, I am going to share an excerpt from The Promise along with an apology. I was also planning on coming on here today and re-posting the hot cocoa recipes for a few readers. That will also be put up later this week when the thought of hot cocoa doesn't turn my stomach.

Excerpt from Tall, Dark & Furious

“Put your shoulder into it!”

The harsh demand slowly brought Sam back to consciousness. She cringed as throbbing pain shot through her head. Keeping her eyes closed, she slowly took several deep breaths as she fought against the nausea that was threatening to take over. When that didn’t work she carefully turned her head so that the throbbing part of her skull was pressed against the cool smooth stone.

She lay there for several long minutes as she waited for the throbbing pain to ease. When she tried to move it was only to find her hands and legs bound. It took a minute before it all came back to her.
Her eyes flew open to find a young man with sandy brown hair kneeling in front of her. She had to squint against the bright ceiling light above her head, letting her know that someone had switched the fuses and got the power back on.
“She’s awake, Richard,” the man announced, looking over his shoulder at the red headed man who was now shirtless and covered in white dust.

Sick Day!!!

I'll be skipping this week's Chronicle since I caught my son's man flu :(

I've been sick all week and it just seems to be getting worse. My apologies and I will do my best to make it up to you next week.
